Third-Party Platform:
CBUSIFA's website is built on the Wix platform. While we work within the constraints of this platform, we strive to implement accessibility best practices wherever possible.​


4. Physical Facility Accessibility
CBUSIFA's training facility at 1160 Steelwood Road, Columbus, OH 43230 provides the following accessibility accommodations:​

  • Accessible Parking: Designated accessible parking spaces with proper signage near the facility entrance

  • Accessible Entrance: Wheelchair-accessible entrance with no steps or barriers

  • Wide Doorways and Aisles: Doorways and pathways wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and mobility devices

  • Accessible Restrooms: ADA-compliant restroom facilities

  • Mobility Device Accommodation: Canes, crutches, walkers, wheelchairs, and scooters are welcome in all areas of the facility​

  • Open Floor Plan: Fencing strips and training areas with clear sightlines and maneuvering space

  • Accessible Viewing Areas: Seating and viewing areas for parents, guardians, and spectators with disabilities​

Facility Limitations:
Currently, CBUSIFA's facility is a single-level space. If future expansion includes multiple levels, we will ensure compliance with ADA requirements for elevators and vertical access.​


5. Program Accessibility
CBUSIFA welcomes fencers of all abilities and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to ensure equal access to our programs:​

  • Adaptive Fencing Instruction: Coaches trained to adapt instruction for participants with physical, sensory, or cognitive disabilities

  • Communication Accommodations: Alternative communication methods available upon request (written instructions, visual demonstrations, etc.)

  • Flexible Scheduling: Accommodations for scheduling needs related to medical appointments or disability-related considerations

  • Equipment Modifications: Assistance in identifying and obtaining adaptive fencing equipment when needed
